Herschel, and his 4 brothers, were the product of a breeding many years in the making.
Papa Ulrich was my love....my soul. Mama Gallow is my Princess. She was purchased from the US as a baby in the hopes that she would grow into a match for Ulrich.....and she did not disappoint.
5 boys with not only lovely conformation but spectacular temperament and personality, and the best of them all was the pick of the litter....Herschel.
Herschel is calm yet fun, happy yet stoic, outrageous yet placid. He is everything in one package!!
Hersch was not shown as he was given to our good friend Dalibor and his young family as a better home was never to be found anywhere. He would be close to us at Dark Horse, yet able to enjoy camping, playing with children, and a life we would all wish for.
Herschel will leave his mark on the future of Dark Horse with his babies....and their babies from there.
